Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a transformative force in the field of journalism, reshaping news production, distribution, and consumption. From automated content generation and audience analytics to personalized news feeds and deepfake detection, AI technologies are rapidly altering traditional journalistic practices. This paper explores the multifaceted impact of AI on journalism, critically analyzing both its advantages and the ethical dilemmas it introduces. Drawing on recent case studies and industry practices, the study examines how AI tools are being integrated into newsroom workflows, their implications for employment and editorial integrity, and the evolving role of human journalists in an increasingly algorithm- driven media landscape. The research further addresses concerns related to misinformation, algorithmic bias, data privacy, and the erosion of public trust. While AI offers significant efficiency gains and innovative storytelling capabilities, it also demands a rethinking of media ethics and regulatory frameworks. The paper concludes with policy recommendations and a call for responsible AI adoption that upholds the democratic values of free and fair journalism.
